AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
